BSF Foils Pakistan’s Smuggling Attempt, Seizes 3 Drones, Weapons and 1.9 kg Heroin on Punjab Border

Officials confirmed that Pakistan-based smugglers were using drones to deliver drugs and weapons, but alert BSF troops thwarted their plans. All recovered items were handed over to investigation agencies as border surveillance continues to be strengthened.

The Border Security Force (BSF) guarding the Punjab border has once again foiled Pakistan’s attempts at smuggling and achieved a major success. In the past 24 hours, alert BSF troops carried out several operations in the Amritsar and Ferozepur sectors, recovering three drones, two pistols, and around 1.9 kilograms of heroin.

What Drones and Weapons Were Found Near the Villages?

According to sources, the BSF had received intelligence inputs that Pakistan-based smugglers were using drones to send drugs and weapons across the border. Acting on the information, BSF personnel launched search operations. During the operation near Daoke village in Amritsar sector, a broken DJI Air 3S drone was found. Another DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone was recovered near Kahangarh village, along with a pistol and a magazine.

What Did BSF Find in the Ferozepur Sector?

In the Ferozepur area, the BSF found another pistol and ammunition from Bahadurke village. Continuing the search, troops also recovered one more DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone and three packets of heroin from Habib Wala, Dhariwal, and Mahawa villages. The heroin packets weighed 551 grams, 555 grams, and 325 grams respectively. In addition, another packet containing 553 grams of heroin was seized from Bhaini Rajputana area.

How Did BSF Stop Pakistan’s Smuggling Plan?

BSF officials confirmed that during all these operations, any attempt by Pakistan-based groups to cross into Indian territory was successfully stopped. The seized drones, drugs, and weapons have been handed over to investigating agencies for further examination. The BSF said such recoveries show Pakistan’s continued efforts to smuggle drugs and arms using drones, but every time their plans are crushed by the vigilance of Indian forces.

What Steps Are Taken to Secure the Border?

The BSF has increased its technical surveillance and tightened border vigilance to prevent any future smuggling or infiltration attempts. The force emphasized that India’s borders will remain fully protected and that any illegal activity, intrusion, or smuggling from across the border will not be tolerated under any circumstances. BSF jawans remain committed and ready at all times to defend the nation’s security.
